As an employer, we can not hire people or restict existing employees ability to earn using age or pervious employment history as a exact requirement of the job. Why is the Premier League different?

The whole rule is a knee jerk reaction rushed in after england's pathetic showing at the WC. It was clearly rushed and they may have overlooked PLENTY of things.

It's not going to benefit England at all. All of Arsenal's 8 'homegrown' are all going to be French or Spanish. City's homegrown will come from players like Barry or Ireland, so how this turns England into a football force i've no idea.

Actually the Premier league passed it in September 2009 to come in in 2010. Obviously they had worked out what was to happen in South Africa.
Why Blatter's 6-5 rule was binned because of European law and this isn't I don't know.

When i saw the Spurs 1 Villarreal 4 score last night at first i thought it was their Champions league Qualifier, and i started laughing. Someone told me it was only a friendly, and i was disappointed from there on in.

Your company has no qualms about employing spazzy, obtuse, pig ugly Yorkshire wankers though right?

I was thinking about this and its probably legal because its only related to playing in the Premier league and not all competitions, therefore they can say that any player can work/play for a prem team, just not in all games. I think it’s a kind of loop hole.

Its like employing someone to work in McDonald’s, but saying they can only clean the bogs, even though they are qualified to use the Fryer!

It doesnt stop them working for Mcdonalds though!
